The one thing that needs to be changed in India is the education system. The quality of the Indian education system is not so great for all the streams because of many reasons in India.
Memory Vs Knowledge
Indian education system mostly focuses on memory. They are called intelligent and smart by their report cards but not by their learning. Children are asked to mug up things than to understand. Parents pay a lot of money to schools and colleges and in return demand more marks. Students are forced to memorize everything before exams to get good grades. They only study before the exam and for the sake of exams.
Pressure Cooker
Parents compare their children with other children who are good at something. They only take career options such as engineering or medicine. They motivate and pressurize students for good grades. This makes a huge impact on the kid, who mug up the answers instead of understanding.
Decision Making
Once kids are born parents decide on their careers. They decide their college stream and education. Even children who like to study medicine or engineering they force to study literature. They don't like the subject and tend to mug up for scores. Children are not allowed to take decisions and this makes the child get dependent on others for decisions. They have a hard time deciding about the future.
Qualified teachers
In many education firms like schools and colleges. There are teachers who are teaching children without much knowledge. There are people who completed engineering and could not get any job to tend to join the same college and teach students. As students don't get a quality education they depend on youtube and elders. Many children hate maths at the junior level because he is not good with the basics. Once they are not clear with the basics they lose interest in the subject because they don't understand it.
