CHANDRAYAAN-2, THE JOURNEY BEGINS
India’s second moon mission, Chandrayaan-2 was launched on GSLV-III by ISRO. At $141 million, its budget is half less than the Hollywood blockbuster hit “Avengers Endgame”. India has launched a rocket to space to the rover on the moon. This is the most ambitious project, which leads to low-cost space power.
This is a 1000 crore mission, where India's studies carried out to south pole of the moon. Only the United States, Russia, and China have been on the moon. The rocket carried Chandrayaan-2 from ISRO Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota in Nellore District. It has been delayed for a week due to a technical issue.
India has a record of a successful launch of Chandrayaan-1 in October 2008. It has evidence of water ice on the moon. This Chandrayaan-2 is named by Vikram, After Vikram Sarabhai, the father of ISRO. it is estimated to be 3.8 tons of weight and soft landing in September. India plans to connect with US and China for space operations.
ISRO also plans to have many other experiences in future like touching Mars, sending aircraft to Venus. Chandrayaan-2 is about to launch in 2012 itself but seeing the failure of Israel Beresheet landing, India decided not to take any risk. As this mission has faced several technical problems during preparation. It only takes 15 minutes to land on the moon. India has a record of 104 satellites in one mission that too at a low cost.
