WHOLE STORY OF RADHAKRISHNAN
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who is known as the first vice president and second president of India. He is a brilliant teacher, philosopher and also awarded ‘Bharat Ratna’. On the occasion of his birthday, we celebrate it as teachers day.
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on 5th September 1888 in Madras. He was born in a poor brahmin family, where his father worked with zamindar and mother is a homemaker. He completed most of his education by scholarships. He later got married to Sivakamuamma. He completed his B.A and M.A in philosophy. 

When he started working, we could not able to manage the money to look after his 5 sisters. So, he sold his medals and meet his needs. He served as vice-chancellor of Andhra University and Banaras Hindu University. He mastered his subject and became more popular in connecting people.

In 1952, he was elected as a vice president of India. After seeing him in many heated debates and quotes in Sanskrit. He was awarded Bharat Ratna in 1954. He continued as vice president for two terms. Then, in 1964, he was elected as a president of India.

The last days of Radhakrishnan are very bad. He lost his speech, eyesight and memory. He is a very inspiring person and philosopher-king. So, we celebrate his birthday as teachers day.
